Wow have we been busy! So much of it was playing so a very nice busy. We were off to the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky the beginning of October, watched as our Canadian Horses and riders did Canada Proud. From Eric Lamaze and the team competing in Showjumping to Ashley Holzer and the team competing in Dressage to Debbie Laderoute competing in Driving it was exciting to see. One of the most rewarding things was watching some of these athletes compete on Canadian Warmblood Horses. We also had the pleasure of watching my Daughter's horse Wildcard (Why Not G) co- owned with Eleanor Elstone of Britich Colunbia, compete in the para dressage under Eleanor. They did superb. It was a great holiday, I recommend Kentucky to anyone with an interest in horses. There is nowhere that you can go that dosent represent Kentucky's love of the horse. We also toured Frank Stronich's Thoroughbred Breeding Barns, Churchill Downs and Keeneland Race Tracks.
We came home just in time for the Canadian Warmblood Fall Classic Sale in Olds Alberta. A Busy and full 3 days. The Saturday evening Gala was a treat to attend and Sunday Two of Key Warmbloods horses found new homes. Quatermane by Quaterback out of Zavani a 2010, 3 month old colt went to Kansas City Missouri, and our 3 Yr old Filly Royale was sold to Cathy Challack in Carstairs Alberta. (We have a embryo Transfer out of Royale by the WOW stallion Uphill coming this spring.)
The Next thing we knew it was Christmas and as in everyones life, Christmas comes so fast and goes so fast, but we had a great time with our Daughters, Grandson Owen, and my Sister and Brother-in-law who we love dearly.
