Well we managed to sit on our hands during the select sale after the stallion keuring however we did purchase two new broodmares while in holland. Thank you to Eloma Hoeve and Mr. Sietse van Dellen for giving us the opportunity to purchase such a wonderful mare from a world famous mare line. The Loma Mare Line is known worldwide for producing stallions and top competing sport horses. Many of todays international Grand Prix Riders share the loma line in thier impressive pedigrees. From the Loma line comes the approved KWPN stallions Tenerife VDL (Raphael) Furore (Ahorn), Hattrick (Ahorn), Quasimodo Z (Quidam de Revel), Zangersheide J.Liberato and Liberato II Z (Libero H) Whister (Holland), Simon Bolivar, Troostwyk, Tristan, Bourbon, Mural, Hallreck, Graaf and Kigali (Wolfgang). Also from this line approved stallions AES: Neapolitan (Lucky Boy xx), Westfalen Al Dente (Aldato), CH: Grandriver (Ahorn) , NRPS/AES Rodrigo (Indorado), ,Swedish Jeopardy (Edison), Zangersheide Omen (Carthago), AES Voyeur (Tolan van T Riethof), KWPN-NA Jaguar (Nimmerdor), and SBS Osto M (Narcos II), This mareline is known all over the world.Our Loma Line mare is ZULOMA, she is by Sandro Hit. While viditing there we saw her last years foal by Bretton Woods a filly that although we attempted to purchaseher also, Mr. Van Dellen would not part with and understandably so. Zuloma is in foal to Apache (UB40 x Krack C) and due in may. Thank you Mr. Van Dellen for this rare opportunity.
The second mare we purchased is coincidentally another Sandro Hit mare, Sandrotana Van Hof Olympia. She is a 2006 mare in foal to Charmeur. Sandrotana was the top selling foal at the 2006 Borcolo Veulenveilling. (lot # 56 will show her at the auction) http://www.veulenveilingborculo.nl/paarden.php?evenement=3 Although her purchasers had wonderful plans for her, she sustained a field injury as a youngster and never had the chance to perform. Sandrotana was added to the broodmare band and has produced foals by Wynton, Bretton Woods and now Charmeur. Thank you Mr. Nico Witte for the opportunity to purchase your mare. Mr. Witte has stoods many stallions including Ampere, Bretton Woods, Wynton, and Charmeur, and he also has ownership of the newly licenced 2013 well deserved Stallion Champion Fierce-S. (Ampere x Ferro). Danish horse dealer and international Grand Prix rider, Andreas Helgstrad has now purchased 1/3 share in this stallion and he will be going immediately to Denmark to complete the stallion licencing there along with the seven other stallions Helgstrand is presenting. These licencing hopefuls hold the blood of Zack, Quaterback, Uphill, and Bordeaux all stallions that Key Warmbloods has bred to. To say the least we like his stallion choices.
We are very excited to see these mares come to Canada. They will be bringing this years foals with them and bred back prior to their arrival. |
